- Hot flushes may be reduced by consuming compounds that are rich in vitamin C i.e. wheat germ, nuts and eggs. Amalaki is one of the best herb that is also a good source of vitamin C.
- Consuming vitamin A, D, calcium and phosphorus are helpful in preventing the thinning of bones. Carrots are recommended in the form of kheer (grated carrots are boiled in milk and sugar) and juices.
- Fish and dairy products should be included in diet as these are rich source of calcium.
- Fruits rich in rich in potassium and sodium are always recommended. These are water melon and citrus fruits. Even apricots and fig are also very helpful.
