After having come to know, how important liver is for us, it is quite obvious that one should surely protect the liver. Here are some of the tips that one can follow to keep the liver healthy,
- One should not mix the alcohol with certain drugs like acetaminophen as that can be toxic even if someone drinks very moderately.
- One should take the medicines wisely. They have to follow the exact dose and drug as prescribed by the physician.
- Get vaccinated against major liver diseases.
- Avoid the high dose of vitamin A, The, E and K as they may put an extra burden on the liver.
- The infections of liver usually spread by the contact of the blood. One should be very careful taking injections, IV fluids and blood transfusion. Try to avoid used blades and toothbrushes and prefer using own.
- Whenever one use an aerosol cleaner, wear the mask and be sure that the room is ventilated. Take the similar protective method while spraying the fungicides, paints, insecticides and other toxic chemicals.
- Avoid the use of alcohol and quit smoking.
- Daily notice your color of face, feces, urine, skin, eyes and nails. Any change in it should be shown to physician.
- Never ignore the abdominal pain especially when it is on liver i.e. right upper abdomen and just below where the ribs end.
Try to avoid the fatty food. the liver makes the cholesterol in our body. Eating the well balanced and nourishing diet help your liver to do its function properly
