Indigestion comes from what we eat. Controlling the diet and choosing the right food help preventing the indigestion. Eating small meals really keeps stomach at rest as it doesn’t have to work as hard or as long. Eating slowly and with small morsels allows the system to digest properly. Avoid foods that contain high amounts of acids like citrus fruits and vegetables like tomatoes in excess quantity.
Avoid too much tension on your head. Be cool and calm. Try to concentrate on biofeedback. This theory works usually for an individual suffering from the stress originated indigestion. Keep the gap for at least two hours before and after doing exercise. Alcohol consumption and non-vegetarian food in excess are to be prevented.
Don’t wear the skin tight clothes. Tight pant or trouser or jeans may interrupt the digestion and may trouble after having the meals. Do not let your head downwards when you sleep as this may allow your digestive juices flow into esophagus rather than the intestines.
As mentioned earlier one has to keep regular interval between two meals. One should keep enough gap between last meal and getting to bed. Sleeping straightaway after food would bring your digestive fire down. Avoid junk food, cheese items, too much milk products etc. One should not do exercises immediately after having food. Too much eating, too less eating, stale food, decayed food etc also promotes indigestion.
